“Comparison is the thief of joy.” - Theodore Roosevelt

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self. “ - Ernest Hemingway

“I’m competing with what I’m capable of.” - Michael Jordan

Have a vision.

Set big goals.

Raise your standards.

BUT...

Don't compare yourself to others.

Measure, report, and hold yourself accountable to the world.

But only get true feedback as Drew Gerald defines 'feedback'.

And measure backwards. (concept from The Gap And The Gain by Dan Sullivan)

Enjoy every little win.

Be grateful for everything.

Enjoy the ride, enjoy the wave, enjoy the snowball.

What you seek is what you are.

Look at the bright side.

Use David Goggins' cookie jar concept.

Feel the confidence from all the times you felt confident in the past.

Crisis is danger and opportunity.

Your biggest weakness is your greatest strength.

Your biggest weakness is your happy childhood. (no, it's not logical)

All these successful people talking about their struggles and unhappy childhood... (and how their failures and struggles made them stronger)

You had no struggle at all so your past didn't make you strong at all.

So go struggle now.

Fail fast, fail hard, fail often.
