Do You Make These Procrastination Mistakes? (part 2)

#1: The Overwhelmingly Overwhelming Overwhelm That Goes Unnoticed (part 2)

***

You ONLY Need 2 Minutes To Be Successful

That's right.

F the 10 year plan.

F the 5 year plan.

F the yearly planning, the quaterly planning, the monthly planning.

You only need to focus on the next step.

I put 2 minutes because that's significant and it's symbolic.

In the last sales letter, I brought you from problem-aware to solution-aware.

Now let me pitch you my solution to finally overcome your procrastination, one step at a time.

Your main problem is with starting.

You never start.

You get distracted, and then you do random stuff and waste hours on your bad habits.

So I created the perfect starting ritual for you.

It's completely arbitrary so don't overthink it.

Just do it.

Step 1: The Vision

Arnold always had the vision in mind of winning a gold medal on the podium when he was doing his bicep curls.

He was always smiling and enjoying his workouts while the others were grimacing and suffering.

You need to have a vision.

It gives meaning to what you do.

If you ask 2 bricklayers why they are laying bricks: the first one tells you "because that's my freaking job" then the second one tells you "because I'm building the most beautiful house in the world".

Which one will be more motivated?

If you ask 2 people why they are making money: the first one tells you "because I love money" then the second one tells you "because I need money to give to other people, I need money to provide for my family, I want to take my family to a nice vacation, I owe my friend a lot of money,...".

Which one will be more motivated?

If you ask 2 people why they want to lose weight: the first one tells you "because I want to look better" then the second one tells you "because the doctor told me that if I don't lose weight, I will die in 1 year".

Which one will be more motivated?

So whatever you do, always have the vision in mind.

What motivates you deep in your gut, deep in your heart, deep in your soul?

Step 2: Choose the task

Make your to-do list and rank everything with 'important & urgent', and 'important'. (classic Eisenhower matrix)

Do The Final Version Perfected for 'important & urgent' tasks. (The Final Version Perfected: http://markforster.squarespace.com/.../the-final-version...)

If there is no 'important & urgent' tasks, then do The Final Version Perfected for important tasks.

If you are motivated by any task that take less than 5 minutes, do those first.

Step 3: Do it, the ritual

Now you have the vision and the task selected.

If you are not motivated or excited enough, you can replace the task by visualizing yourself completing the task and getting the rewards of your vision.

Optional: put a timer to 2 minutes.

If it is not a task that requires sound and it doesn't require very intense focus, put on a music from your 'Saved Music' YouTube playlist.

Prepare everything to start the task.

Do the 5-second rule countdown and start.

Do all this process multiple times a day until it becomes a super easy habit.

Do I need to convince you more?

I don't think so.

Just try it out and tell me how it goes. (self-talk is a bit weird haha)
