Why You Should Be More Present Every Day

Being present is the ultimate self-control tool.

Psychological biases are interesting and useful but they can't compare to the power of presence.

Being present is the opposite of being distracted.

One of the main causes of procrastination is being distracted and being impulsive on your distractions.

Being present is part of the solution against procrastination.

Being present is the difference between being an animal and being a human.

Being present is the difference between being a game character and controlling the game character.

Being present is the difference between being the main actor and writing the scenario of the movie.

Do you want to live like an animal or do you want to live the life of your dreams, the story that you can write yourself?

And the well-being benefits are insane.

Inner peace is something most people don't even experience.

When you are not present, you go back to a state of chaos, distraction, stress, and negativity.

It's painful.

It makes you sick.

It feels bad.

A constant state of worry, unease, tension, looking for more problems.

Who would want to live like that?

Nobody.

Not you either.

How can you be more present?

That's easy, just bring your awareness to your awareness.

And do it often.

You will maybe never reach Eckhart Tolle's constant state of deep presence but you can progress infinitely.

Just a little bit more every day.

One step at a time.

Awareness helps you make better decisions.

It helps you make less mistakes.

It helps you be more creative.

It helps you solve problems.

It changes your brain to be peaceful.

It gives you the ability to change your brain waves.

Actually, these are benefits you don't really care about.

What you care about now is:

- improving your focus

- feeling good and peaceful instead of distracted

- less worry

- less useless thoughts

- accepting the Now

- having more great creative and innovative ideas

- enjoying life more

- and being more productive

All of which being present helps with.

You can always use your breath and your body as anchors.

Meditation is the most basic thing in the world.

Master your fundamentals.
