What Else Can You Do to Make Work More Enjoyable & Fun?

"Don't do what you love. Love what you do." (paraphrased MJ De Marco in Unscripted)

"You don't always need to like what you do to love what you do." - Curtis Louis Cardone (in Be Obsessed Or Be Average by Grant Cardone)

"The best reward for a habit is the habit's fulfillment itself." (paraphrased Charles Duhigg in The Power of Habit)

"Don't do what you love. Improve your skills to be able to do what you love." (paraphrased Cal Newport in So Good They Can't Ignore You)

"The secret to happiness is: to be useful." (paraphrased Scott Adams on The Tim Ferris Show)

"It's not about the destination nor the journey, it's about your identity." - concept from James Clear in Atomic Habits

"Your life is like a movie where you are the main character." - concept from Naval Ravikant

"You are the hero in your hero's journey." - concept from The Hero's Handbook

"Life is the best game there is." - concept a lot of people use

Yesterday, your friend Mahmoud asked you what you enjoy the most.

Then you realized that work for you is far from being as enjoyable as it could be.

When you look at very successful people, their work is their most enjoyable and fulfilling thing ever.

In the book Flow, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi found out that people are actually more often in the flow state during work than during their leisure time contrary to most people's beliefs.

That's why you are writing this post.

Let's make work more enjoyable.

And...

now you froze.

You don't know what to write next.

You wish there was an easy hack to make work more enjoyable.

You even wrote down quotes to inspire your thinking.

Your only idea right now is that it comes down to your mindset...

You have a lot of false beliefs about work.

Work is evil.

Work is something everybody hates.

People can't wait to be done with their work.

You are influenced by everybody who believes in suffering 40 hours per week to enjoy the time they have off-work.

In your organizational psychology university lecture, the word 'work' itself was defined as something like a constraint.

The word 'work' itself is associated with so many negative ideas.

But of course, you know that this is the worst mindset to have.

'Work' is just a word.

Don't let it influence you so much.

For you, every day is a holiday.

But holiday and work don't really match together.

You also love to be lazy.

But lazy and work don't really match together.

Work is associated with effort.

But great work is effortless.

Great work is deliberate practice.

Great work is a good habit.

Great work is to be useful.

Great work is to help people and make the world a better place.

Great work is to improve your skills.

Great work is to become a better person.

Great work is to be in the flow.

Great work is enjoyable and fun.

Great work is an adventure in a movie, in a game, in your hero's journey.

Every successful person who also cracked the code of fulfillment enjoys his/her work.

You are successful.

So enjoy your work.

Work is good.
